Follow-up to my Recent Eating-Related E-mails

After sending a multitude of e-mails regarding my recent and incredible increase in weight, and whining and whining about it, I was exposed to the following on the train on my way to work. And, I must say, in terms of constant eating, I am not the worst. There was a large woman on the subway taking up 1 1/2 seats. I didn't even bother to try to squeeze into my seat. Anyway, she was eating this piece of pastry for what seemed like forever. She would break pieces from a white bag and then plop the piece (which was a nice size) into her uplifted mouth. This went on for an exceedingly long time. It seemed to be the pastry that never finished. I guess it did finally finish, at which point the woman started licking off pieces of displaced pastry off the top of her wrists, inside of the palms, and every single fingertip. It was amazing how very thorough she was.
I've never been that meticulous, although I did do a good job last night on the Turon Alicante (Nougat). Gnawing and ripping at it with my teeth like a starved lioness.
Pitiful. I'm very ashamed. :(

I just want you to know that my eyes were transfixed on her. I was waiting for her to lift her elbows and lick pastry off them too. She was totally unconcerned about anyone looking at her. The only thing that hampered her a bit from going further than she did was a woman who got on at Queensborough Plaza and squeezed into the minuscule space available (which I had avoided). Then my point of fixation had to pull her elbows in and scoot over a bit onto her next neighbor. It was just an amazing sight!
